En-gendering rural economic development - IMPACT project
EU funded En-gendering Rural Economic Development project - IMPACT
Apart from solely relying on the income from agriculture and animal husbandry, local people need to improve their household production methods in line with modern conditions and trends. Women's participation and decision-making play an important role in herding, farming and other activities, developing household production and increasing incomes.
Therefore, it is important to pursue policies to empower women and support leadership at the local level, and to support their aspirations to overcome and adapt to current environmental and economic challenges and to contribute to local development and the well-being of present and future generations.
